Bold Writers is a Members’ Only group of private individuals who share a common interest in creative writing and associated activities.
Bold Writers is funded by its members and is not a charity. Bold Writers is not open to the public generally. Members of the public may contact the group via its website and/or otherwise.
All information published on the Bold Writers website is designed to entertain and/or provide general information about Bold Writers Group only. All information placed on the Bold Writers' website is subject to the copyright of Bold Writers and/or its individual members.
This statement is prepared by Bold Writers and is published on Bold Writers' website. A hard copy can be made available upon written request on the proviso that the enquirer provides a pre-paid self-addressed envelope for ease of return.
Awareness, observance and updating this policy

This policy features as a stand-alone agenda item at Bold Writers' AGM, whereupon policy awareness, observance, training and update requirements shall be discussed by the members.
In the event the AGM has already taken place by the time this policy is adopted, then it shall be voted on at an EGM.
This policy features as an agenda item at all Bold Writers' monthly group meetings in the agenda item any other business. Therein, all policy awareness, training, observance and updates can be voted on by group.
It is published by Bold Writers and all group members are required to observe the policy as part of the terms of their membership. By accepting membership of Bold Writers, all members are deemed to accept the terms of this policy.
Record of personal data retained

Bold Writers holds general contact information relating to its members and those members of the public who make enquiries of Bold Writers.
Member’s information:

All members are asked to share their personal contact details with the group. Personal details shared include: names, addresses, telephone/mobile numbers, email addresses. No special category or sensitive data (such as medical information) is retained by Bold Writers.

Such personal data is retained indefinitely and shall be removed only by request by that member and/or their personal representatives.

Such personal data is held and used for the smooth running of the group, to further the common interests of the group and to provide information about the group and its members privately between its members only. Use of personal data is encouraged amongst members for the collaborative use of the functions of the group such as for sharing/editing/critiquing the written work of other Bold Writers’ members.

Persons responsible for collating individual members’ personal contact data and for maintaining and sharing the same is/are the group administrator/s.
Member of the public/enquirer’s information:

From time to time members of the public will make enquiries of Bold Writers. In such circumstances, the personal information provided will include names, and contact details.

Any personal data obtained under this category is retained indefinitely and shall be removed only on request by that member of the public/enquirer.
